Dreams Crushed & Life Began
“Life happens for us, not to us.”
Nothing before my trip to California helped me to realize and embrace this philosophy.
When I retell my adventures in California I tend to leave off this part I will share with you now…
After just a few short weeks of working on the dream of producing the health documentary, seemingly non stop, I realized I could no longer be involved with the project.
Which meant I had two choices:
Hang my head low and fly back home…
or…
Figure out another plan and enjoy California.
Clearly as the adventurous and travel fanatic I am, I chose the later.
The curve ball was, I had to find another place to live, in a state I’d never been in before and my funds were more than limited.
And California, as you are probably well aware, isn’t a cheap place to live.
Luckily, I had a decent website design business, that I could work anywhere in the world, as long as I had clients and good internet.
Thankfully, I had clients all over the U.S., that were used to working virtually with me..
So, now just to find a place to rest my head.
I gathered my things, my thoughts, put a smile on my face and prepared for the unknown.
